Underage realian pantyshots in Xenosaga

Xeno* is always causing controversy...

It's said that the main two characters of Xenosaga, Shion and KOS-MOS ***might*** be lesbian (though the game never states that; but you might think this after looking at the official promotional wallpaper where Shion is holding KOS-MOS with her arms (I have this one set as my Windows wallpaper, you can look at it in the "show me your desktops" thread)).

But this thread is about another issue some people have with the game: MOMO's pantyshots. Well, MOMO is a realian (not exactly human) that looks like a 12 year old girl. In the game, she wears a very short skirt and you can see her panties in lots of cut-scenes and in the equipment menu, when you can rotate her with the pad. Some people is saying this is almost like child porn. Well, what do you think?

My opinion on this is that they did it just for fun; if you get turned on by looking at a 12 year old's panties it's YOUR problem, not the game's.

Well, it is like all the things in this life. In Metal Gear Solid 2 you can do something similar.

MGS2 Possible minor spoilers

In some part of the game you are between a lot of hostages. You can use 1st person view to see the characters, in all their (little &gt;:] ) detail.

One of those hostages is a girl with a miniskirt, if you lay on the ground, and use the 1st person view you can see under that skirt. If you do that, she closes her legs to prevent you seing anything, but, if you use the tranquilizer gun, and make her sleep, you can observe her underwear completely free. And here comes the point. you can even take a photograph of that, and if you do that, Collonel Campbell will call you, not to punish you, but to tell you to keep that photograph well cared and, if posible, to send him a copy.

I leave that also in the air, but i think that the detail done in MGS is much more clear as a "pervert" act than just allowing the rotation in multiple axes of a 3D model, which happens that allow you to see the underwear of that character.

In FFVIII happens the same, use the "scan" spell over your own characters, and rotate them at your will...

If any controversy arises because of that, then, it should be "censored" also the MGS2 because shows a much more clear act of pervertion.

And, even if Wiseman is gonna cut my head when i say this, at the begining Xenogears was also a little "Yaoi" (IMO) you see, the characters you see are only Fei and Citan, and they get along really well... i "miss" sometimes any girl between them. Is just a personal opinion.

i've seen those snapshots of Xenosaga, and, besides admit that it has a really nice detail, i don't think that are that "great deal"

It corresponds to oneself to decide what is correct and incorrect, and, after seing those photos, i think that it is only a mere "point of View" question.

How are you seing those chars? the quality of the modelling, or their "hottness"?

I would not mind them being lesis, i mean true lesis, as far as they treated it as a serious human relationship.

I mean, There are no homosexual characters in the world of videogames. Or at least they always are secondary joking characters, as Hemble. I think that they are people who have chosen a path in their lives which doesn't correspond to the Standard, but it is a path that if fullfil their lives as persons, then, is completely correct, even if there are people who thinks that it is completely sick.

I was exagerating Xell, but i simply missed any girl in the begining, like Elena/Millenia and Ryudo.
